Hello there, I’m Debbie Rae-Smith
Although I started my working life as an environmental officer in local government, I fell in love with Photoshop, design and all things internet when I created my first website back in 1997! I changed careers to follow my new found passion, and after a stint creating websites for HarperCollins Publishers and many well-known authors, decided to go it alone in my own web design business.
Soulscape Web Design was born in Sydney in 2002, and was renamed Web Happy in July 2018, following a move to the beautiful seaside town of Portland, Victoria. I have designed and built hundreds of websites over the last 20 years, for all manner of clients across Australia and overseas.
During that time I’ve honed my skills in listening to clients, understanding their businesses and building the most effective website for their needs, and their budget. I know I must be doing something right, because my first three clients are still with me, two decades on!
I’m passionate about web design and creating the best possible website for every client. I get the most satisfaction working one-on-one with fellow solopreneurs, to bring their visions to life online. I’d love to work with you too – so please do get in touch with me if you’re interested in working together.
Why work with me?
I’m here to save you time, money and stress….…
That’s why I offer a special streamlined, guided process from start to finish.
I want you to see your business come to life online, and feel confident putting your site in front of potential clients/customers – in the most stress-free way possible.
I want you to feel like you have a partner you can rely on throughout the website creation process (and beyond) – so you can focus on your business, not “techie” stuff.
And I want you to feel confident knowing that you can make all those little updates to your website’s content whenever you need – without having to spend more money having someone else do it for you.
Kind words from happy clients…
The beach is my happy place…
When I’m not busy with website stuff, I love combing the local beaches, collecting shells, sea glass and any other interesting bits and pieces I wander across. I love feeling the salt air on my skin and the sand between my toes, while discovering little treasures from the sea. If only it could be summer all year round…
